The inaugural symbolic Dean’s handing over ceremony for the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) was a momentous occasion held on October 16, 2023, at the faculty’s office. This exercise marked the seamless transition of leadership within the faculty. The ceremony was steeped in tradition and significance, reflecting the deep-rooted values and commitment to excellence that the University holds dear. As the Outgoing Dean, Prof. Sammy Musundi passed the seat and the instruments of power to the Incoming Dean Prof. Paul Kamweru, it symbolized the transfer of responsibility and authority. The event was attended by faculty, staff, and student representatives, who witnessed this symbolic ritual with a sense of optimism and anticipation for the future.
