SUMMARY:DAAD Funded Generative Artificial Intelligence Workshop (21st-23rd August 2024)
DESCRIPTION:DAAD Funded Generative Artificial Intelligence Workshop (21st-23rd August 2024) \nGenerative AI tools like ChatGPT\, Bard\, and Dall-E\, among others have brought a complete change of the way many things are usually done. Generative AI is transforming the way we learn\, research\, and produce content. These tools are already being used by students\, and in many instances\, unethically. \nBut these tools are potentially beneficial if used ethically. Dialogue must ensue\, attempting to seek how this could be achieved\, specifically for the teaching-learning processes. \nThe Faculty of Science and Technology is set to Host a workshop\, on 21st to 23rd August\, 2024\, focusing on the opportunity to enhance and customize the learning experience at the Universities using generative AI tools. \nThe workshop\, the first-of-its-kind\, is funded by DAAD. The workshop\, coordinated by Prof. Kamweru\, a DAAD Alumnus\, and the Dean Faculty of Science and Technology\, will be a second part of two-part DAAD Alumni funded events. The first part of the workshop will take place on 19th to 21st June\, 2024 and hosted by Moi University\, coordinated by Prof. Nyamwala Fredrick.
